Daily Blog Post; Day 2; Tuesday, January 8th, 2013

Today was a good day! I wasnt hungry really today, every time I got hungry I would down some water or eat almonds! I didn’t realize how high in calories almonds are.. I ate 320 calories, worth of almonds today and It really didn’t feel like I ate that much. I didn’t go running today but I woke up at 5AM and went swimming. I swam laps mostly, I’m not sure of any another exercises to do in a pool, If you know leave a comment below, I could look it up, try it out and post about what you can do in a pool for exercise! It was great though I had the entire pool to myself all morning! A lot of people ask me where I go swimming, because where I live a rec-center is almost 45 minutes away. But 5 minutes away from my house there’s a hotel that lets the public use their indoor  pool! I bought a pool pass and everything! After I went swimming I drank some orange juice, I’m really picky about orange juice, the only brand I’ll drink is called, “Simply Orange.” I also ate a banana. Then I had to go to school for 6 hours untill 3:15. I guess I could tell you the classes I had today, first I had, Financial Literacy, Algebra 2, Spanish 1, LUNCH, Health, then last but not least Astronomy! My two favorite classes are Health and Astronomy! I have really awesome teachers and I love the subjects! I came home watched my little brother, and did home work.. now I’m getting ready for bed so I can wake up early and go swimming again!

Tips for the day!

1. I realized that If you keep yourself busy, AWAY from the kitchen you don’t think about food or eating. I was in my room and at school for most of the day so I was pretty occupied, that’s why I didn’t eat very much, I didn’t even eat dinner! Which I know is bad but I got so wrapped up in my schoolwork that I forgot. and….. my family forgot about me because I’m a hermit that sits in my room and types away on my computer all day.

Healthy choice2. What my lovely mom happened to do for me is chop up all the fruits and vegetables, and put it all in ziplock bags, and containers. This is really convenient! Usually when your hungry for a snack you go for the easy stuff, like pop tarts, chips, cookies, etc. All you’re doing it making the healthy stuff the easy stuff! If you want to make a salad you pull it out throw it in a bowl and your done. It’s already pre chopped and washed and ready to go! This is my stash of healthy pre cut washed vegetables, in this drawer there is, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, lettuce, cilantro, and  carrots, and apparently potatoes. Some other things we keep in stock are, avocados, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, bananas, frozen berries and more! I hope I gave you a pretty good Idea of what to stock your fridge with!

1 thing I want to work on

1. I want to consume more water, because its good for your Skin, Health, Hair, Nails, Weight loss etc. I havent been very good about drinking water! So tomorrow my goal is to drink at the absolute least, “8, 8oz glasses of water” probably more.

This app for the iPhone is called “My Fitness Pal” There are tons of apps like this, or If you don’t have a Smartphone, I used to use a small notepad that I could carry around with me. Have a good wensday! ❤ Jessica
